Art Deco and the iconic Australian Platypus meet in this unique statement necklace totally befitting a unique monotreme. Upon seeing a preserved specimen for the first time, Europeans thought this creature to be a hoax as it has the bill of a duck, tail of a beaver, and foot of an otter. It's a very shy animal, the males possessing venomous spurs delivering excruciating pain.
I've designed the top layer of this acrylic necklace to be geometric and faceted, laser cut from beautiful green malachite acrylic; the bottom layer is pastel mint.
Chain length: 53cm.
If you require a longer or shorter chain please leave me a note at checkout.
Caring for your acrylic jewellery
Acrylic is hard but can be brittle and scratch easily, so don't get too rowdy while wearing your jewellery and store it somewhere safe. Don't wear it in water and avoid spraying perfume or other liquids on it.
