Art Deco and the elusive Dugong meet in this unique statement acrylic necklace totally befitting a gorgeous marine mammal. Dugongs are the down-under relative of manatees and belong to the Order of Sirenia, which sounds like a kind of mythical fantasy family. Apparently, dugong even means "lady of the sea" in Tagalog! I live on a bay that is a dugong habitat but unfortunately, they're regarded as close to extinction.
I've designed the top layer to be geometric and faceted, laser cut from blue acrylic; the bottom layer is a delicious icy blue pearl marble.
Chain length: 55cm
If you require a longer or shorter chain please leave me a note at checkout.
Caring for your acrylic jewellery
Acrylic is hard but can be brittle and scratch easily, so don't get too rowdy while wearing your jewellery and store it somewhere safe. Don't wear it in water and avoid spraying perfume or other liquids on it.
