Materials and Care Instructions
Exact fabric composition isn't always possible to determine but most of the fabrics I select have the qualities of cotton, polyester and elastane or a combination of those fibres.
These fabrics are sourced from remnants, vintage, second hand or flawed yardage. Every effort is made to avoid flaws and marks but sometimes they sneak into the final product.
Cold machine wash with similar colours. Do not soak or bleach. Do not tumble dry. Warm iron. Dry cleanable.
Wash before wearing - I have not laundered your tee to avoid potential chemical/ scent sensitivities. Fabric has gone through a huge journey before it gets to your place. It's been dyed, sprayed with chemicals, dragged over factory floors and shipped in dusty containers. Please wash with your favourite detergent before wearing!
I lovingly sew each t-shirt on my domestic sewing machine and overlocker. The finishing is, as a result, not as polished as a manufacturer's product. The seams are overlocked, and the hems are finished with a narrow zig zag stitch. I have almost exclusively worn a self sewn wardrobe for a decade and can attest to the longevity of my garments, if properly cared for.
Wear me, care for me, mend me, pass me on to someone who’ll start the process all over again.
