Denim Bow Craft Medal

I came up with this cute ~as a button~ brooch for an activity I led at The Sewing Lair. The sparkly denim is actually a remnant from a pair of shorts I made for myself and the button is one of many I had cut from acrylic when I was still making laser cut jewellery. I used to fill the empty spots on the acrylic sheets with buttons and I've been able to use them for all kinds of projects! The tiny star is a waste piece from one of my earliest jewellery pieces - I have held on to these acrylic bits and bobs for years because I know I will find a use for them. I just hate to think of throwing away useful stuff. Even the cotton yarn is diverted from landfill as I bought it at The Lair!
